Rock Island city staffers preparing Sunset Marina for boating season
It may be hard to envision given this week’s cold weather but boating season is just around the corner.
Rock Island Public Works Director Larry Cook joined us in studio to talk more about Sunset Marina and how the city is getting it ready. It offers quality docking space for 473 boats from 16 feet to 60 feet in length. Sunset Marina also has a 35-ton Travelift which can set a boat on land for repairs, take a boat off a trailer for launching, or load a boat on a trailer so it can be transported to another location.
