Just as Americans begin to pack their bags and catch flights to hit the beaches and bars for spring break, the US government is cautioning all those headed to Mexico to stay out of six dangerous states. The State Department has issued its highest-tier warning for some parts of America's neighbor to the south that are run by drug cartels and pose potential threats to American tourists. The 'do not travel' warning has been issued across six of 32 Mexican states due to 'crime and kidnapping.

The suspect in a shooting that left two dead and one wounded in Laurel at midday Monday has been identified as 19-year-old Ronald Buckley. Mary Ann Collins, 19, of Laurel and Travion Barnett, 22, of Laurel were pronounced dead at the scene, in front of Loper’s Laundry at West 10th Street and 13th Avenue. Another victim who suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg was not identified. “The LPD would like to extend our condolences to the families of the victims in this tragic incident,” Chief Tommy Cox said in a press release.

Last night, Comedy Central aired their Roast of James Franco. Taped a week earlier in Los Angeles, the event featured comedians and actors Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, Sarah Silverman, Jeff Ross, Natasha Leggero, Nick Kroll, and Jonah Hill gathering to make fun of Franco and each other. While the centerpiece and the dais were filled with more respected celebrities than your usual Comedy Central roast, the 90-minute special was still just a collection of jokes on the same subjects being repeated over and over (this year’s big topics were “Jonah Hill is fat” and “James Franco is gay maybe?

Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, hit the water to do some fishing, and the country superstar turned to social media to share several pictures of herself having fun and soaking up the sun in her bikini. The 38-year-old singer and workout enthusiast holds up fish of various sizes in a post on Wednesday (July 14), while wearing a zebra-striped bikini and coordinating sunglasses and standing in a boat.
