Aerosmith's Steven Tyler 'heartbroken' as 'vocal cord bleeding' stops him singing

Aerosmith has a heartbreaking update for fans as the forced to postpone shows. The rock legends will be back to perform for the fans at a later date and the reason behind the rescheduling of the tour is truly shattering.

For rock fans, 2023 has been an emotional year as Aerosmith announced their farewell tour with a bunch of shows across the country. Music fans missed the presence of founding drummer Joey Kramer but witnessed magic watching Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, and Tom Hamilton together on stage again.

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler ‘heartbroken’ over vocal cord injury

Aerosmith’s lead vocalist Steven Tyler has shared a shocking update, revealing his vocal cord injury will not let him sing for at least thirty days.

Steven told fans on Instagram: “I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days.

“I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding.

“We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve,” the 75-year-old rock maestro said after their third show at Belmont Park, New York.

Aerosmith will come back next year

Aerosmith has a number of shows still left to perform for their farewell tour. Fans who bought tickets for Detroit, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Toronto, Raleigh, and Cleveland will have to wait till 2024 to watch the band live.

While the waiting period to watch Dream On crooners got longer, their epic setlist as revealed on the first three days of the tour is enough to keep the excitement running. Here’s a sneak peek of the songs that Aerosmith will be performing for their PEACE OUT The Farewell Tour.
